No... it is not only made from water. It could be frozen rock or dust things. On earth I would say just water but in the solar system anything is possible
Ice can be made from water. But ice is also made from other substances. Ice isnt just made from water. It is made with other things. I think it is made with other things because water has to get hard before it freezes and turns into ice.
Ice is not only made from water, but also made from cold temperatures. Together, water and freezing temperatures can create a solid object made from water and cold temperatures. This probably isnt the answer you are looking for...
i think that ice can be made from other substances but the substances must be liquid to make ice. i think that you can make ice from other liquids because i know you can freeze cool-aid and other drinks. so i think that you can freeze anything as long as it is a liquid.
Well, not always. Such as if the water had a lot of bubbles in it, then whatever gases that are in the bubbles will be in the ice. Ad also, I'm not too sure about this, but the water might be containimated with watever gas/liquid is used to make the freezer cold. That more tahn likley to me is the reason why the ice is so cloudy.
I think ice is not only made of water. I know ice can have dirt and rocks and other things inside. I also know other compounds and elements can freeze with water or alone and some of those elements can turn into ice.
Ice is not made only from water. Any frozen liquid substance I would consider to be a type of ice. Like a soda for example gets frozen in the freezer and becomes ice. This proves my theory that any liquid substance can become ice.
I think ice can be made from other minerals but i think in order to be ice it must have atleast some water in it. If there is no water the material cannot freeze.
Ice can be made from other liquids. Sprite and other sodas can be frozen, to be made into ice. Also, as long as a liquid is frozen into a solid, i would classify that as a liquid. This is why I think that any liquid can be tIce is not only made of water, it can also be maurned into ice.
Ice can be made from other liquids. Sprite and other sodas can be frozen, to be made into ice. Also, as long as a liquid is frozen into a solid, i would classify that as a liquid. This is why I think that any liquid can be tIce is not only made of water, it can also be maurned into ice.
Ice is not only made of water because there is some ice that is made of other liquids or even gases. Some examples are hydrogen cubes and dry ice. Popsicles or even frozen yogurt are made of a liquid other than water. I once put soda in the freezer and it froze like a popsicle. So, ice can be something other than water
No, ice can not only be water. Ice is basicly any liquid in a frozen form. Like for example have you ever had those popsicles that start as liquid and then you put it into the frezzer and in a certain amount of hours it frozen. Thats basicly ice in a different from than water. So no ice can be in many different forms than just water.
No it can be made from other material. Ice is not made just from water it can be made from other substances like dry ice.It can also be made from soda like sprite or coke.So ice can be made from many substances.
I believe that ice isn't always made from water. Ice can be made from many things as long as it is liquidy and able to freeze. Popcicles are icy and are not entirely made of water, and are made of juice.
i think ice is only made of water because for examplem, "dry ice" has a different name then ice because it is made out of something different than "H2O". there for ice is only made out of water.
I do not think that ice is only made from water, because of the fact that ice and water are the same element. So, theoretically, you could assume that H20 made in an extremely cold climate would automatically be ice, and never be water. However, in real life, the only way a H2O molecule would be formed would from nuclear fusion. This would be extremely hot, therefore any H2O molecules made would be a gas, neither water nor ice.
Ice is NOT only made from water. Another "form" of ice is frozen carbon dioxide, known as dry ice. When people think of ice, they think of the frozen cubes of water you put in your drink to make it colder, not frozen carbon dioxide.
I think that ice is NOT only made from water, because water has 2 elements, hydrogen and oxygen. Also, it depends on where the water is from, and where is it creating, and how much water is being converted. For example, if the water was from Antarctic, and was being created and made into ice, the ice wouldn't only have 2 elements, but might also have dead fish that floated to the top and froze inside the ice, or maybe human trash that was thrown into the ocean.
Mostly, ice is only made of water. But it can also be made of anything that is a liquid at room temperature. For example, Popsicles are ice but are not made of just water. They are also made of other substances like juice. Another example is dry ice,it's not made of water it is made carbon dioxide.
No, I KNOW(!) that ice is not just frozen water. Ice is just a solid made from a certain element or compound. given that there are 119 elements on the periodic table, that means that there are that many forms of "ice", plus all of the compounds that can be solidified...=D LOL1337
Yes and no. If you were to freeze a soda there would be H2O and many other frozen ingredients, so it is not just ice made from pure water but it is still made from water. Also most of the ice we use for drinking every day has other ingredients such as minerals so even that ice is not only water but it is still made from water.
I think ice is only made of water (H20). Ice is water frozen into the solid state. Ice is created when water is cooled at 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit). Ice just occurs when water freezes so that means that there is nothing different in ice then water. Then one thing you could count is that there could be soil or other deposits of items on the ground that could get in the ice but it’s not in the main structure of the ice. The three forms of water (H20) are liquid, solid (ice), gas. It is one of the only things that can be all three. So ice is just made from water.
Ice can be made from many things, not just water. Things like dry ice prove this. The thing you are freezing doesn't even have to be liquid. Dry ice, for example, is a very tightly pressed gas. Thoughwater is usually thought of when someone says ice,it can also be things like what popsicles are made of. Syrup, flavoring, and even food coloring can be ice if kept at a low enough temperature.
Well, ice is mostly made up of water, but it could also be made up of other substances. Lets say, Mercery, it is a liquid so it could freeze and turn into ice like anyother liquid substance.
Overall ice is mainly made from water, but things or objects can freeze even tough it's not water. Take homeade popsicles for example, if you take a Gatorade and pour some of it into a Dixie cup and put it in the freezer for about 15 minutes it will become a popsicle which is ice when you think about it. As we know Gatorade is not water so that can prove that something other than water can make ice.
well i think that it is only made of ice because ice is made of water EX: frozen milk it could be ice but it would not be called a milk cube not an ice cube
I think that ice can only be made out of water. If you freeze water it turns into ice. If you melt ice it turns into water. The main key i think is that if you melt ice it turns into water.
Ice doesnt always have to be made out of frozen water it can also be made other Substances becuase water didnt make dry ice! Another reason i know this is true is that water can also be made from Carbon Dioxde:)
water isnt the only thing that can become water. milk, juice, soda andd any other liquid substance can freeze and become ice. i know this because i froze juice once
Ice can only be made for water. It cant be made from other liquids. For example, frozen orange juice is not considered ice. Same with any other types of frozen liquids.
Ice can be made from many things, and Water is one of them . Ice can be made from multiple things liquid or even none liquid . Dry ice is one of the subtances that counts as ice. Fruit juice can be ice too as long as its in a very low temp.
No... it is not only made from water. It could be frozen rock or dust things. On earth I would say just water but in the solar system anything is possible.
I don't think ice can only be composed of water. Here is an example supporting my opinion. You put a glass of lemonade in the freezer and take it out the next day. Is it ice? Or is it frozen lemonade? I think that ice is a liquid that has been frozen into a solid state of matter. Therefore, ice isn't always composed of water.
I think that ice isn't just made from water. I mean, ice is just the name we use for frozen water. There are other forms of ice like how liquid nitrogen is the frozen version of nitrogen gas.
Yes is is only water. You can mix up the water with juice or sugar or something, but that is not another element. It is a mixture, so the juice or sugar or whatever can be taken out of the water, but it can be frozen with it in there. Mixtures are still water though.
Ice can be made from more than just water. Take popsicles for example it is a liquid frozen into a solid. So the most important thing to know is that any liquid can be frozen and made into ice a solid.
Ice isnt just water its also a liquid, a solid or even gases. For example hydrogen cubes and dry ice. Popsicles or even frozen yogurt are made of a liquid other than water. popsicle. So..., ice can be something other than water
I think ice doesn't just have to be water it is actually made from carbon dioxide. so pretty much anything can be frozen into ice as long as it's below freezing and it's a solid.
I think all ice is is a cold, solid element. For example nitrogen that goes from a liquid to a cold solid then it could be considered ice. Another thing to consider is what is "ice"? I'm pretty sure that term isn't scientific. I guess, as I said before "ice" is just a solid element.
Ice can be made from any type of gas or liquid. It can't be made from a solid because as I just said it is already solid. Some information to support my theory is there can be dry ice, which is frozen carbon dioxide I think. There is also the type of ice made out of water that you put inside your drink. An example of how solids don't turn into ice is if you put say a brush into the freezer it won't turn to ice it will just get cold and ice crystals made from water will form on the edge.
ice can be made through gas and through a liquid. ice is a solid so it cant be made through a solid. also ice can be made in space from different minerals as well as on earth
I think Ice is a frozen form of the chemical compound H2O solidified at a temperature of 0 Degrees Celcius or below. All other forms have different freezing temperatures, some very close to 0 Degrees K. They do not freeze into ice because of their different chemical structures (i.e. Hg, which turns into a Solid at a different temperature, since it is not a compound of H2O.). Therefore, they do not turn into ice because of their chemical structure.
I think that ,Ice is made from water.(which we all no.) Thats how we know its ice. But ice can be made from diffrent substances simulaur to water and elements. so i conclude that is maybe can be made from other things.
No i dont think ice can only be made from the substance of water because it can also be made from other liquids such as maybe cool aid can be frozen and pretty much anythink=g can be frozen as long as its a liquid.:)
i agree with sangavai because their is a thing called dried ice and that doesnt have water in it becaues it is made of gases but they put the dried ice in water but its not made of water or liquid
Ice is a solid object that would be a different state of matter at room temperature, although typically ice means H2O at freezing temperature or below.
Its true that water freezes to make ice :) then ice melts to make water BUT WAIT! ice can be formed by many different elements!!! So there ya have it! :)
well when water is put in the friser or in somrthing very very cold it turns in to ice and ice turns in to water when its very very hot its called globla warming
No ice isn't always made of water. Think about ice pops. Its frozen juice. Not frozen water. And dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide. So not all ice is frozen water.
i think they can freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze to death if we dont help them with the temp and the h2o and! the chemical structure is super low and it seems like it will not go up. ice is powerful stuff when its not in a cup of koolade or melted its good in soda.
Ice is made out of water, but you can freeze other liquids and turn them into ice as well. "Dry Ice" is also a form of ice that is produced by carbon dioxide. Usually I would assume that ice is only made out of water, because "true" ice would be water when you melt it.
Ice is not just water, people! Any element or compound in solid form is"ice". That computer you are reading this on? It's solid (ice)! And if you are an alien with liquid computer screens, welcome to my planet.
No I do not believe ice is made of just H2O. An example is like when you freeze soda or juice it is solid & cold just like ice is. So to me ice is a solid cold frozen substance that is not necessarily made from just H2O.
Ice is made from water. Thats how we know its ice. But ice can be made from diffrent substances simulaur to water and elements.
ReplyDeleteWell it could be made of any liquid but the liquid has to freeze!
ReplyDeleteNo... it is not only made from water. It could be frozen rock or dust things. On earth I would say just water but in the solar system anything is possible
ReplyDeleteYes, because when you freeze water, it becomes ice. When you melt ice it becomes water.
ReplyDeleteIce is only made of water. It is only frozen.
ReplyDeleteNo ice isnt because what about ice pops they are made with frozen fruit juice and sugar so technically its ice. :p Rayne
ReplyDeleteno, it can also be made from ammino, carbon, and nitrogen, i think. ice can be formed from almost any element
ReplyDeleteNo, It can be made of carbon and almost every element on the periodic table, except the metals.
ReplyDeleteIce can be made from water. But ice is also made from other substances. Ice isnt just made from water. It is made with other things. I think it is made with other things because water has to get hard before it freezes and turns into ice.
ReplyDeleteYes. Because Ice can only be made of water! ice can have things in it but only water can be ice!!!
ReplyDeleteNo, because although ice is made of water, it can also be made of or contain dust and/or rocks.
ReplyDeleteNo, because although ice is made of water, it can also be made of or contain dust and/or rocks.
ReplyDeleteno dry ice isn't made of water. dry ice is made of carbon dioxside.
ReplyDeleteIce is not only made from water, but also made from cold temperatures. Together, water and freezing temperatures can create a solid object made from water and cold temperatures. This probably isnt the answer you are looking for...
ReplyDeleteIt's actully made from fresh water if you take water an frezze it.The liquid turns in to ice.
ReplyDeleteno its just a liquid substance thats frozen
ReplyDeletei think hat ice is only made up of water.. there is stuff preserved inside of the ice but ice itself is only h2o.
ReplyDeletei think that ice it only made of water. i think because all liquds turn in to ice. there is stuff persevd in the ice its self is made of H2O.
ReplyDeletei think that ice can be made from other substances but the substances must be liquid to make ice. i think that you can make ice from other liquids because i know you can freeze

ReplyDeleteI think ice can be made from other minerals but i think in order to be ice it must have atleast some water in it. If there is no water the material cannot freeze.
ReplyDeleteIce isn't made just only of water. You can freeze other liquids and gasses.(Did I spell the plural for gas right?) Such as CO2 to Dry ice.
ReplyDeleteI think that ice can be made out more than water.
ReplyDeleteDry ice for example, is made out of CO2.(Water is H2O)
Ice can be made from other liquids. Sprite and other sodas can be frozen, to be made into ice. Also, as long as a liquid is frozen into a solid, i would classify that as a liquid. This is why I think that any liquid can be tIce is not only made of water, it can also be maurned into ice.
ReplyDeletenope. take ice cream for example its ice, but its make out of milk. so you can freeze some liquid and it could be considered ice.

ReplyDeleteWell, just guessing, but I think that all ice is made from water. There is an exception though. Dry ice isn't made from water.
ReplyDeleteNo because if you just put water in a plain cup it wont freeze you have to have it in a place below 30 degeres fahrengheit
ReplyDeleteI do not think that ice is only made from water, because of the fact that ice and water are the same element. ReplyDeleteNO. Ice can be formed by many things. Milk could freeze in a freezer. Condinsation can cause snow which turns into ice.

ReplyDeleteNo becaue ice is a frozen liquid and water isn't the only liquid.

ReplyDeletewell when water is put in the friser or in somrthing very very cold it turns in to ice and ice turns in to water when its very very hot its called globla warming
ReplyDeleteNo because ice isn't just water its also air.
ReplyDeleteNo, uce can be made from other things. Ever heard of dryed ice, it is made carbondyoxide. So ice is made from other things from compounds to elements.
ReplyDeleteNo ice isn't always made of water. Think about ice pops. Its frozen juice. Not frozen water. And dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide. So not all ice is frozen water.
ReplyDeletei think they can freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze to death if we dont help them with the temp and the h2o and! the chemical structure is super low and it seems like it will not go up. ice is powerful stuff when its not in a cup of koolade or melted its good in soda.
ReplyDeleteIce is not only made from ice. It can contain dust particles and rocks also.
ReplyDeleteice isnt Just made out of water it can also be made out of carbon dioxide (or dryice)
ReplyDeleteno ice can be made from diffrent things besides water
ReplyDeleteIce is not only made of water. it can also be made out of carbon dioxide ( or dry ice)
ReplyDeleteNo. Ice can be made out of any material that has a solid state. Example, dry ice.
ReplyDeleteIce is made out of water, but you can freeze other liquids and turn them into ice as well. "Dry Ice" is also a form of ice that is produced by carbon dioxide. Usually I would assume that ice is only made out of water, because "true" ice would be water when you melt it.
ReplyDeleteIce can be made from water and dry ice.
ReplyDeleteIce is not just water, people! Any element or compound in solid form is"ice". That computer you are reading this on? It's solid (ice)! And if you are an alien with liquid computer screens, welcome to my planet.
ReplyDeletei dont think so because you can stick milk in the freezer and it would freeze and turn into ice. I think ice can be created with any basic liquid.
ReplyDeleteno
ReplyDeleteno i think it is any frozen liquid can be ice so it is not just water
ReplyDeleteNo I do not believe ice is made of just H2O. An example is like when you freeze soda or juice it is solid & cold just like ice is. So to me ice is a solid cold frozen substance that is not necessarily made from just H2O.
ReplyDeleteNo it is made of hydrogen, and oxygen
ReplyDeleteNo, ice can be made out of any liquid forming into a solid.
